My telehealth office is located in Medford, OR and I provide services to individuals throughout the state of Oregon online. This includes any city in Oregon — Portland, Bend, Medford, etc. I do not offer in-person sessions currently.
Due to licensure laws, I only work with clients who are residents of Oregon and are physically located in the state at time of service.

My goal in your first session is to meet you where you are and help put you at ease. I know that starting therapy can potentially feel stressful. You might wonder what it will be like to work with me, if your concerns are valid, or whether you're making sense (you are!).
During our time together, we'll cover:
Practice paperwork including consent forms. You’ll be sent a copy of these ahead of time.
A discussion of confidentiality and how it works in therapy.
What brought you to therapy and what feels most challenging right now.
Your initial thoughts about goals for counseling.
-
For telehealth therapy, we meet using an encrypted telehealth platform, similar to how you might with a doctor or medical provider.
You'll need a private space, reliable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone (computer or tablet work well). Because of privacy laws, no one else can be present or within earshot (unless we’ve previously planned for it and there is a release of information in place).
Before our first session, I'll send you a secure link and discuss instructions for joining.

Insurance Plans: I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Moda, and Providence insurance.
Providence will be leaving the Oregon market as of 12/31/26.
Out of Network: I do not provide superbills or submit claims to insurance for out of network insurance reimbursement.
I cannot accept private fee payments from anyone who is a recipient of Medicaid or Medicare.
Insurance Benefits: I require that clients contact their insurance company prior to their first appointment to confirm that I am in network with their specific plan. It’s important to confirm that your coverage includes telehealth services, and what your co-pay, remaining deductible, and out of pocket max/ amount remaining are. My office completes a benefits check as well, but clients are responsible for understanding their benefits and for the bill for services at my regular rate if insurance declines coverage at any time.

As required by federal law, I provide a good faith estimate of expected costs for uninsured clients or those paying out-of-pocket when requested. Duration of therapy varies significantly based on individual needs and goals. It can change during the course of therapy as needs evolve.
-
I require a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel your appointment. If you cancel your appointment less than 48 hours ahead of time, or no show for your appointment, you will be charged a $125 cancellation fee.

Rehabilitation Counseling is a field centered on supporting individuals with adjustment to chronic illness and/or disability. It was originally started to provide vocational rehabilitation for soldiers with disabilities returning from WWI.
In the present, rehabilitation counseling includes services for a range of individuals with disabilities and chronic illness in the public and private sector. Rehabilitation counselors most often complete a masters in counseling concurrently with a specialty focus in rehabilitation, allowing them to provide therapy and vocational rehabilitation support. In addition, they are advocates for the rights of individuals with disabilities.

For telehealth sessions, I often have one or two dogs (Lucky and Daisy) in my office. If you prefer they not be in the room, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
